Junior Dolphin Researcher

Our popular Junior Dolphin Researcher program is an exciting hands-on educational

experience designed to give insight into the life and responsibilities of a dolphin researcher. During their stay, Junior Dolphin Researchers learn to identify each of our dolphins, observe some of our cutting edge research, participate in an observational study, assist with dolphin fish bucket and vitamin preparation, learn about dolphin care and training techniques and discuss career opportunities with our dedicated staff. The highlight of the experience is an interaction with one of our dolphins. Under the guidance of an experienced trainer, Junior Dolphin Researchers come face-to-face with one of our dolphins. They get an up-close view, use hand signals to ask for different behaviors, feed fish and discover what dolphin skin feels like. This three hour long program accommodates up to 12 children and is designed for ages 9-12. Cost is $40 per person.

Dolphins and Me!

What can dolphins do that I can do? You'd be surprised at all the neat things we've learned through our unique dolphin research. It's sort of like school for them. They learn new things every day! First, learn about our dolphins, their abilities and their unique "dolphinalities". Then see how dolphins understand sentences given to them through our unique dolphin sign language! Next, discover how well dolphins mimic each other and us! After watching them imitate each other, the kids go tankside to offer different motions for the dolphins to imitate. The kids reward the dolphins with tasty fish and backrubs! This two hour long program accommodates up to 12 children and is designed for ages 6-8. Cost is $30 per person.

Dolphin Research Experience

Observe our exciting dolphin research firsthand through this new program for teens and adults! Program includes discussions about dolphin cognition, a research session observation, a tankside interaction with one of our dolphins and much more! Teen classes offered for teens ages 13-17, adult classes for ages 18 and up. This three hour long program accommodates up to 12 people and costs $40 per person.
